It will come as no surprise to anyone that following on from DP World’s December increase to their Terminal Infrastructure Surcharge (TIS), Patrick has now announced that their TIS will also increase effective from the 12^th March 2018. Once again our Industry bodies have raised their concerns with the ACCC. We still maintain that Terminal Operators should derive their income form their clients, the shipping lines, and not from transport companies who have no option other than to pay the fee and pass it on accordingly.
