Major Cybersecurity Incident at DP World Terminals

Major Cybersecurity Incident at DP World Terminals

As most people would be aware by now, there’s been a major cybersecurity incident at DP World Terminals which has severely affected their operations since last Friday the 10th of November.
DP World operate terminals in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle and they account for around 40% of the market here in Australia.
Due to this attack, DP Would had to shut down all operations from Friday and they’re working closely with their IT team and various Government agencies to get their systems back operating again.

As of this morning, some systems are back working again at certain terminals, although with only limited capacity and they’re hopeful that all their systems will be back up again very soon.

But in the meantime, it’s expected that there will be substantial delays for containers and vessels that are being handled through DP World terminals unfortunately.
This incident has come at the same time that DP World has been under Industrial action from the MUA, so these new delays will just add further to the problems being faced by these terminals

We’ll continue to keep you updated on this matter and please contact your usual CFL representative for further details.
